Sneaky business: unfinished business

The final redux if the Dark Elf assassin.

I've gone back to the original sea green themes with blue and black.

The blue/green in the sleeves are:

Russ Grey

Thunderhawk blue

Thunderhawk blue + Rotting flesh (1:1)

The green potion and glow effects are the Kabalite Greens in the Dark Eldar range. I also used the technical paint Nehekaran Oxide on the golds, as I'd imagine that this would get damaged by all of the time spent at sea. The silver blades wouldn't because they're magical. Poisoned blades have a Coelia Nightshade glaze.

 

Sneaky business: finale

A couple of shots of the FINAL assassin paint job. I think I'm happy with this look now. So indecisive!

Colours that I changed were the blue on the uniform for the "classic" purple, with a twist that makes it colder than liche purple. And the phial which is now an aqua and not a green, which is a bit more Dark Elf than Skaven magic. To my mind, Dark Magic should be a cold, otherworldly colour. Full colours below.

New look sneaky business

New look assassin, with no purple and more blue greys. I'm happier overall with thes colours for my Karond Kar DE army. I'm thinking of theming it around Lokhir Fellheart's dread fleet as I've got such a soft spot for Corsairs with their 4+ save and 2 attacks! Plus I love the nautical theme for Dark Elf raiders.
