Pegasus mount for my Empire captain.
Thanks to Gaz for helping me mount the model on a slightly raised base that was painted and flocked in my standard Empire scheme: scorched brown, graveyard earth, bleached bone. The rockier sections were picked out in adeptus, codex and fortress greys.
Love it! Paint scheme/lesson for the pegasus? I've got all those Bretonnian pegasus knights to do at some point, you know :-)

The key principle with white for me is to work "up" from either a grey, blue-grey or faun colour.
Because this model had wings and I wanted the horse to also be white I chose grey for the body and faun for the wings.
The base colours were Deneb stone for the wings and adeptus battle grey for the body. Basically, you're work up to skull white with both colours but the different base colours make it less monotonous. I'd be happy to paint a peg knight with you to show you step by step if you'd like?
