It begins...
Thinking that I won't base him just yet as I'll need to get into many nooks and crannies.
I've sprayed him in grey, not black as I'm finding the black a bit too stark on the eyes and it's easier to see details in the grey. Also, I'm going to paint it in a luminescent blue-green underbelly which needs a bright undercoat initially.
Any thoughts/hints on how to paint him?
Behold the Beast!! Urgh...slithering across the battlefield soon no doubt. I like the idea of the blue-green underbelly. One idea to consider is to make the colours darker on the top, perhaps a dark grey/green with some sharp light highlights on the claws/spikes. By the way, that tongue is a disgrace

ReplyDeleteWill follow your tips on the topside scales. Dark green (Incubi Darkness) with sharp edge highlights. I'm looking forward to that style because I consider it a weakness that I'd really like to strengthen. And practice makes
