Sisters of Averlorn

Pew! Pew! Pew!

Enough said. Really great models to paint. I'm keeping the army very traditional in colour scheme and going for bright golds and silver. The blues are two different hues, but the difference is minor, but I hope is noticeable enough. Love to hear your thoughts on them.

I still need to finish the bases off with some meadow flowers and static grass but will have to order the flowers from Army Painter.

Apparently they're not awesome on play, but using them last week they made short work of two goblin chariots, squig hoppers... Though I forgot to use the Reaver Bow I'd given to the High Sister...

The painted section of my HE army as it stands:

  1. Aah, gorgeous ladies and a superb unit in the game. Yes, when the hit, they hurt (ask a few of my gobbos). Love the traditional colours. The blue cloaks are especially sumptuous.

  2. Thanks Gaz. I'm really happy with the blues. Really nice GW colours in this range now with subtle tones. I'm not sure whether I should get another box and have five Sisters and five Shadow Warriors or 10 Shadow guys. What do you think?

  3. For games, I find 5 shadow warriors are a waste, 10 seem to be more effective but they are not shades. The sisters are really good for elves and the extra punch they provide with their shooting is very helpful. However, you already have 10 sisters which can be added to later, so maybe go the 10 shadow warriors?
