Mud and Blood: Flagellants

Five completed flagellants.

Really happy with the overall look. Just have 15 more to go...

The flames are all washes/glazes over a white base coat (x3 for whiteness!).

I love the blood/gore and reddy/bruised skin effects and the mud stains. That slight hint of blue/white is to link the unit in with the rest of the army which has the same colour for their feathers for cool contrast to the bold, warm red.

  1. Wow! good going TC. The flames and red really make this unit pop. You have also done a lovely job on the blood and mud effects. A unit of 20 is going to look awesome. Great stuff!!

    1. Thanks Gaz. I'm really happy with the results and am getting more interested in putting out a Witch Hunter themed army. Will need to get 10 more to have a horde and also the Arch Lector on a War Altar!

  2. Great idea to have a witch hunter themed army...and a horde of flagellants, very tasty. A tar-pit that can actually put out the hurt, plus they will look sensational especially if you continue doing such a great paint job on them. I'm also interested in the Arch Lector on the war altar. That massive gold statue...the jeweller in me is just drooling over all that gold!!!

    1. I know that you play orcs, Gaz, but your love of gold clearly makes you a dwarf!
